About Garry

Garry joined the Royal Marines in 1992, where he served for nine years; drafted to 42 CDO, Garry took part in Jungle Warfare training in Brunei as well as Arctic Warfare training in Norway. Garry was then deployed on an operational tour of South Armagh, Northern Ireland. Garry rejoined CTCRM to support recruitment training before joining RM Poole, where he was employed within Headquarters Squadron.   

Since leaving the Royal Marines in 2001, Garry has worked in several industries in various capacities. Employed as a Data Analyst at Jaguar Cars, responsible for continuous improvement before moving into the retail sector in various senior management roles. Garry joined the third-largest Corporate Funeral business in the UK in 2016. Employed as a Regional Support Manager responsible for the region’s Quality Assurance program and supporting the Acquisition Integration for new businesses. 

Sport and fitness have been a big part of my life. I was selected for the Inter-Services Cricket Team and Great Britain Dragon Boat Team, which are some of my sporting achievements. An avid supporter of Aston Villa FC, I have a French Bulldog called ‘Major’ and enjoy weekend city breaks and within the UK.
