Jeremy Hadland

Jez joined Geollect in February 2023, having completed a 20-year military career with the RAF. He has graduated from the MOD’s UK Imagery Analysis Course at Chicksands and their MSc in Geospatial Intelligence at the Royal School of Military Survey.  A former Liaison Officer to wider Government for the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence, he remains a part-time GEOINT reservist in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.

Jez is a passionate advocate of imagery intelligence with a human in the loop, notwithstanding the tremendous value of automation and machine learning in improving analytical efficiency.  Also a devotee of extracting intelligence value from open source and special-interest resources, he is rarely happier than when combining overhead imagery for significant change or seeking that extra illumination from ground-level imagery.

Recently becoming a father for the first time, Jez hopes to maintain (at least a little!) his interests in visiting the UK’s Overseas Territories and playing cricket and golf.
