“My academic journey has been a blend of Geology and Computer Science, I wanted to combine my fascination for understanding and mapping the Earth with my love for programming. I studied as an undergraduate in Geology at the University of St Andrews and more recently completed a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing. The main focus of my Master’s was to leverage Machine Learning and cartographic techniques to better understand our planet. I find the use of GIS one of our most powerful tools to understand, visualise and solve complex challenges. Outside of work, I like to spend a lot of my time rock climbing, mountaineering, or cycling.”
