Geollect announced as winner of UKHO innovation award
Geollect has won the UK Hydrographic Office’s prestigious ADMIRALTY Marine Innovation Programme challenge. We beat stiff competition from some big players in the maritime geospatial world to scoop the award.
UKHO is looking at ways their data can enhance marine insurance products and reduce maritime risk. The award is recognition of the potential of our products to unlock and visualise their extensive library.
The data provided by UKHO will massively enrich our solutions in the marine insurance sector. Products like electronic charts, bathymetry, CATZOC, wreck locations, offshore infrastructure and conservation areas will all help provide context for vessel behaviour. They also have the potential to shed light on claims patterns.
When integrated into our Geonius platform this data could identify more factors that are predictive of loss and shine a light on what might constitute reckless behaviour.
We’re excited about working closely with UKHO to take our market-leading products to the next level.
